THE HANGER CHALLENGE Team: SHARING THE WARMTH
THE HANGER CHALLENGE, in collaboration with ONE WARM COAT, was the creation of COAT BUSTERS (Hot Team 16) as part of Brandman University’s 2014 Innovation Tournament.
The assignment was to create VALUE out of an ordinary item, a wire coat hanger. Our team was interested in the POWER of one coat hanger to spread the message of the need of coats for children and the homeless. In this sense the CHAIN of coat hangers holds more than one coat. It represents the endless possibility of GENERATING AWARENESS and the potential to "hold" MULTIPLLE COATS as it is passed from one person to another to another . . . . .

Although our Coat Busters Team began as a group of four doctoral students (Alyson Cartagena, Marlo Houser, Elizabeth Platt, & Eric Sahakian) we envision THE HANGER CHALLENGE to be much greater than just us, it involves you. Please join us by posting your stories and photos of donations and we will gladly highlight you here!
